Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages partners with Telangana’s Directorate of Employment and Training to offer hands-on training for ITI students
Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Directorate of Employment and Training (DET), Government of Telangana, to provide practical technical training and industry exposure to students from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the state.
The agreement, formalised at the DET headquarters in Hyderabad, aims to reduce the gap between classroom instruction and industrial requirements. Under the partnership, ITI students will be offered short-term internships at HCCB factories and offices in Telangana. The programme is designed to familiarise trainees with large-scale manufacturing operations, process efficiency and industry practices related to safety, quality and sustainability.
SVK Nagesh, joint director, Directorate of Employment and Training, Government of Telangana, who signed the MoU along with B. Tirupathi Rao, cluster HR head, HCCB, said the collaboration will help improve the employability of ITI students by exposing them to contemporary industrial systems and work environments.
Nikhil Arora, vice president – HR at HCCB, said the initiative aims to complement academic learning with hands-on experience and encourage students to pursue careers in manufacturing and related sectors. He added that the company is committed to supporting stronger industry–academia linkages in the state.
The MoU establishes a two-year framework for ongoing collaboration between HCCB and DET to strengthen skill development initiatives in Telangana.
